air fryer pizza rollsAir Fryer Pizza Rolls are so easy to make, and great as a snack or starter, add a dipping sauce to make them even better.

Cooking them in the air fryer is the easiest way, and best in my opinion.

The microwave is fast, but the pizza rolls end up soggy and soft, alternatively in the oven they cook through OK, but can be uneven, and not crisp enough.

However, the air fryer is great for pizza rolls, they take less time than the oven, and come out crispy, and cooked all the way through, just how they are meant to be!

Cooking Pizza Rolls in the Air Fryer

It really is so simple, no  pre-heating needed, and the pizza rolls are ready in just 8 minutes, much faster than the oven.   No oil is needed either, so no added calories or fat means you can eat more and feel good about it.

Once you have opened the packet of pizza rolls, place them in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not stacked on top of each other, that way they cook properly and come out crispy all round.

If you don’t have a non-stick basket, I wouldn’t recommend spraying them with oil, as this could affect the flavor.  Instead try using a pastry brush and applying a light layer of olive oil on to the pizza rolls, just so they don’t stick.

Put the air fryer on to 380F and cook for 8 minutes, turning or shaking after 4 minutes.

If the pizza rolls are frozen cook for an extra couple of minutes.

Serve up and enjoy!  Don’t forget to let them cool down a bit first though, as they will be VERY hot!

FAQ

Can I cook pizza rolls straight from the freezer?

Yes, just remember to add a extra couple of minutes to the cooking time, and remember to check them regularly so you don’t over-cook them.

How do I stop the cheese making a mess of the air fryer?

To stop the cheese making a mess in the air fryer, use some aluminum foil underneath to catch the drips of cheese, then this can just be thrown away at the end

Is there a way to stop the pizza rolls from exploding?

As you would know this is very easy to do – the easiest way to make sure this doesn’t happen is to cook them for slightly less time, generally it is over-cooking that makes them burst open.
