Oysters with blue cheese and bacon
Blue cheese and bacon go amazing well with oysters, make these for a fraction of the price you would pay in a restaurant, and they are just so tasty
Ingredients
- 1 dozen fresh oysters
- 4 rashers bacon
- 4 oz blue cheese
- 3 tbsp worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Open the oysters and place on to a grill pan
- Add a little worcestershire sauce in to each oyster shell
- Cut the bacon in to small squares and place in to oyster shells
- Cut the blue cheese in to small pieces and place on top of oysters
- Carefully place the grill tray under the grill and leave for 7-8 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling.
- Carefully remove the grill tray, taking care not to spill them, and using tongs arrange carefully in to a bowl or such, try not to let them tip over. Be very careful as the shells will be very hot
Notes
To be able to open your oysters you will need a 'shucking' knife, this is a specific knife made for the job, you can find details on Amazon here if you don't already have a shucking knife
